Keanu Reeves Says He’s Been ‘Married’ To Winona Ryder For Almost 30 Years

Keanu Reeves is not one to publicly display his relationship for the world to see. It would mean too many people had an opinion. In 2021, Reeves came out saying that he was still married to Winona Ryder. It had been 29 years years of marriage. Keanu gives his explanation.

This wedding was not set in a conventional manner with the white dress, bouquet, and all the friends and family to quench your social thirst for some time after. They had a ceremony and everything, but instead of it being in a church surrounded by everyone you know, they were on set, surrounded by an entire film crew. Of course, this didn’t happen in ‘real life’ but during the filming of 1992’s, “Dracula”.

“We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests,” Reeves said. He was then asked whether they are still married to this day, and Reeves responded: “Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married, under the eyes of God.”

The director of the “Dracula” movie was Francis Ford Coppola. He wanted the scene to be as realistic as possible and thought using a real church as the setting would be aesthetically pleasing. According to the director, authenticity was key. “Having the real wedding ceremony as it might be in that religion [Greek Orthodox Christianity] would be beautiful,” he said.

Even he has admitted the scene where the characters got married could be more legit than they initially thought. “This is pretty authentic and I think very beautiful, because we actually did the ceremony and had the priest do the ceremony,” Coppola said. “So in a sense, when we were all done, we realized that Keanu and Winona really are married as a result of this scene and this ceremony.”

I think we’re married in real life

Entertainment Weekly interviewed the two when they were doing media coverage for the 2018 movie, “Destination Wedding,” They were curious about their relationship. Ryder is convinced that God thinks they are married because of the vows they took. Even if it was for a scene in a movie. “So I think we’re married,” she said. “No, I swear to God, I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.”

It has become known that they each had a crush on each other for a while. But, neither acted on those feelings nor knew that it was mutual.

Keanu and Winona are long-time friends

“Dracula” was not the first or last film they acted in together. As mentioned they stared in “Destination wedding” but they’ve also co-starred in others like, “A Scanner Darkly,” and “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.” Regardless, they share a professional relationship as well as a friendship. They never dated each other, but both are involved in romantic relationships of their own.

Sandra Bullock is another one of Reeve’s good friends. She shared her opinion in a December issue of Esquire magazine. She stated that she thinks they would have made a good couple and survived where others hadn’t. However, they did not give each other the chance.

“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated,” said Bullock.

I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything.”

She added: “We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being.

Woman Shames Cop For Eating On Duty, So He Tells Her About His Day

During his shift, a police officer stopped at a Burger King to grab some food. He hadn’t eaten in 8 hours and was starving. Before he could enjoy a meal, however, he noticed a woman giving him dirty looks. Then, she turned toward him and said he shouldn’t stop for food while on duty. So, he hit her with a response she never saw coming.

Andre Owen knows that a day in the life of a police officer is no walk in the park. As a Police Constable, he also knows just how hard members of law enforcement around the world work to keep people safe. What’s more, he knows best of all that such hardworking folks need a break sometimes. After all, they might save lives and seem like superheroes, but they’re still only human.

Unfortunately, one woman didn’t see it that way when the Brighton-based Police Constable stopped at a Burger King while on the job. Shockingly, the unnamed female decided to shame Owen by calling him out for buying food during his shift. That’s when the officer unleashed the best response possible.

While working a grueling 12 hours shift, PC Owen stopped for a quick lunch break when he was shamed by the stranger. Shocked by how the woman reacted to him taking a moment to eat after spending seemingly endless hours helping others, Owen took to Twitter to share his story.

“To the lady that scorned me for buying food on duty,” the 25-year-old officer’s post began. “I’ve not stopped since 07:05 this morning, not even for [a] toilet break. I’m over 100 miles from my station and I’m due off in 45 mins…. with a two-hour journey at least!!!! #policearehumantoo,” he wrote, attaching a photo of the meal from the fast food chain to his tweet.

It didn’t take long for the post to go viral with thousands of likes and shares, garnering Owen, who had worked for the Sussex Police for five years, more attention than he ever imagined. Speaking with the UK’s Mirror, he explained that he’d had an incredibly busy day before the woman called him out.

It was 2 pm that day, and he was tired, hungry, and ready to finish his shift at 3 pm. Unfortunately, he still had a hundred mile journey ahead of him before he’d be back at the station. A stack of paperwork awaited him to be completed before he could go home.

“Five minutes after starting my shift, I was assigned to a serious job in Brighton. I dealt with that and then had to drive nonstop to Oxford as part of the same job, single crewed,” he said. “Half an hour into the return journey, I stopped at a service station for my first toilet stop of the day! While there, I also got a double whopper meal, apple pie, Coke and a cappuccino.”

Of course, it was then that the stranger chose to make assumptions about the situation when she saw the officer in uniform. “A lady, eating her own food, kept staring at me while I waited,” Owen recalled. “I collected the food and as I left she said something similar to ‘while you’re in here stuffing your face, there’s criminals that need catching out there,’ I smiled, and just walked away without saying a word.”

But, his silence didn’t last long. “I put it on Twitter and the tweet gathered so much momentum with such positive support,” Owen explained, adding that the tweet wasn’t intended for sympathy, but to show the public the harsh reality of his job. What’s more, his long day didn’t end with the rude encounter.

On his route back to the station, Owen came across a broken down car. Although it was past the end of his shift, he stopped and assisted, halting traffic and getting a couple and their children to safety. “I then waited for recovery to pick them up, using my blue lights to provide protection to all around. It added another hour onto my already long day,” Owen explained. He finally finished his shift at 7 pm.

“While it’s long, and the lady annoyed me at the time, I love my job and on the whole, wouldn’t change it for the world,” PC Andre Owen said. Indeed, most police officers do love their jobs, even when the hours are long and thankless. There’s no doubt, it takes that love to get them through the demands they face.

Afterall, it takes a great amount of commitment to risk your life for complete strangers, many of whom would scoff at you for the minor offense of taking a lunch break — something everyday citizens are able to do without a second thought. The next time you see an officer grabbing a quick bite, offer a smile instead of an assumption. You don’t know what he or she has been through or what they are about to face — and remember, they are only human too.

State Passes Grieving Grandma’s Proposal, Forces Drunk Drivers To Pay

After losing her son and would-be daughter-in-law to a drunk driver, a Missouri woman was left to raise the couple’s surviving children. Hoping to make such criminals pay the price for their actions, the grieving grandmother made a proposal that was passed by the state.

Revolutionary legislation was passed after Cordell Williams (left), Lacy K. Newton (middle), and Cordell Williams II (right) were killed by David Goss Thurby. (Photo Credit: Facebook)
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, after drinking “seven shots of Crown and water,” 26-year-old David Goss Thurby got into his vehicle and sped down Highway 30 in Jefferson, Missouri. He then struck another vehicle from behind, causing it to veer right off the road and smash into multiple trees before bursting into flames. Thurby survived, but the family in the other car did not.

Cordell Williams, 30, Lacey K. Newton, 25, and their 4-month-old son Cordell Williams II died in the crash. Thurby was arrested and held without bail at the Jefferson County Jail, where he tested at an alcohol level of 0.192 percent, which is more than double the legal limit.

Williams and Newton left behind two young children: 3-year-old Mason and 5-year-old Bentley. Thankfully, Cecilia Williams was able to take in her grandsons as they grieved the loss of both parents and their baby brother. Seeing the long-term effects, both emotionally and financially, Cecilia didn’t see prison time alone as justice.

Since the children’s parents both worked to support their children, Cecilia was unexpectedly charged with the burden of caring for the boys. Besides struggling to comfort them in their confusion and grief, the grandmother had to pick up the tab for their expenses. However, she came up with a plan to make the drunk driver pay for the mess he created.

“They didn’t ask for that. They didn’t ask to lose their parents,” Cecilia said. “They deserve to get that compensation because you’re talking about raising children that their parents are no longer here.”

Cecilia Williams proposed “Bentley’s Law.” (Photo Credit: Facebook)
On behalf of her grandsons, Cecilia Williams introduced a bill that quickly spread from state to state. The determined grandmother proposed legislation called “Bentley’s Law,” which forces drunk drivers who kill parents of minor children to pay child support until the children turn 18 and graduate high school.

“I’m going to fight like hell to change the legislation on driving under the influence in Missouri,” she said. “Those laws are not fair, they’re not just, they’re not going to help any family member. We’re in the works with a couple of (lawmakers) who are working on a bill called Bentley’s Law, because Bentley is their oldest surviving son.”

Bentley’s Law passed unanimously in the Tennessee House of Representatives by a vote of 93-0. The victory was bittersweet, as Cecilia was still working on passing the legislation in her own state so that her grandchildren receive the compensation they deserve. She hopes that it will make drunk drivers think twice before getting behind the wheel.

“They will always remember, this is what I did to the family, you know, and it will sink into them. I can’t do this again. You know, I’m supporting children that aren’t mine,” Cecilia explained.

After Bentley’s Law passed in Tennessee, Cecilia Williams said she was determined to take the legislation to all 50 states. (Photo Credit: Facebook)
After Bentley’s Law was filed in multiple states, Cecilia said she was determined to get the bill passed in all 50 states, even if it takes her the rest of her life. However, her goal might be closer than initially expected, since the law has garnered praise and support from citizens and legislators across the nation.

The more the word is spread about Bentley’s Law, the greater the chance that it will be passed in every state. Most people would be willing to support this legislation and contact their state representatives if they knew just how impactful this would be for the children of drunk driving victims. Is your state on board?

Kid Rock Releases New Anti-Biden Song ‘We The People’

Kid Rock ripped into both Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci in his new song “We The People,” which dropped at midnight.

Kid Rock released a new politically charged song at midnight on Tuesday that is sure to trigger liberals everywhere.

Kid Rock Releases ‘We The People’
Fox News reported that the song “We The People,” which Kid Rock released with two other tunes, takes shots at people like President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The rap/rock hybrid single is very political, with the conservative Kid Rock bashing COVID-19 mandates.

“Wear your mask, take your pills / now a whole generation’s mentally ill!” he can be heard shouting.

Later in the song, Kid Rock sings, “But COVID’s near, it’s coming to town, we gotta act quick, shut our borders down / Joe Biden does, the media embraces, Big Don does it and they call him racist.”

The chorus of “We The People” includes the chant “Let’s go Brandon,” which is known to mean “F*** Joe Biden.”

I Don’t Mind Taking A Punch, But I Hit Back’
Kid Rock described “We The People” as a “hard rock-rap tune” in a video posted to Facebook promoting it.

“[It’s] about, well, all the craziness going on in our world in the last few years and the politics and the polarization and social justice,” he said. “You know, constantly for just being a Trump fan attacked in the media day in day out. I don’t mind taking a punch, but I hit back mother f—er and I hit hard.”

However, Kid Rock made a point of adding that “We The People” also includes a message of unity, which he hopes will be the direction his creative work will move in the future after years of political divisiveness.

Kid Rock’s Other New Songs
The other songs released by Kid Rock today were not political in nature, with the first being “Last Dance,” a touching tribute to his parents 50+ year marriage. The final song he released is called “Rockin,” which the singer described as a country ballad with some R&B elements to it.

This comes two months after Kid Rock released the politically charged “Don’t Tell Me How to Live,” in which he lashed out at the current political climate, and at people he dubbed to be “snowflakes.”

Christian High School Football Coach Wins Supreme Court Case

The Supreme Court is siding with a Christian high school football coach, saying that he has the right to pray at the 50-yard line.

A Christian former high school basketball coach from Washington state scored a huge victory from the Supreme Court on Monday after he was placed on leave for praying at the 50-yard line after his team’s games when the school claimed that his prayers violated the separation of church and state.

Supreme Court Sides With Christian Coach
Daily Mail reported that in a 6-3 ruling, the Supreme Court found that former coach Joseph Kennedy, who served in the United States’ Marines for 20 years, had the right to pray on the field after his games.

Kennedy had claimed that the Bremerton School District infringed on his religious freedom when it stopped him from praying following a 2015 incident in which students joined him in prayer.

The district had fired back by alleging that it had received complaints and even threats over the students joining Kennedy in prayer.

The Supreme Court, which first agreed to hear this case in 2019, ruled today that Kennedy’s prayers were protected under the First Amendment right to free speech.

“The Constitution and the best of our traditions counsel mutual respect and tolerance, not censorship and suppression, for religious and nonreligious views alike,” conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the majority. “A government entity sought to punish an individual for engaging in a brief, quiet, personal religious observance doubly protected by the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment. ”

And the only meaningful justification the government offered for its reprisal rested on a mistaken view that it had a duty to ferret out and suppress religious observances even as it allows comparable secular speech,” he added. “The Constitution neither mandates nor tolerates that kind of discrimination.”

Liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in the descent that this ruling “sets us further down a perilous path in forcing states to entangle themselves with religion.”

‘I Thank God For Answering Our Prayers’
Kennedy was quick to celebrate the ruling, telling CNN, “All I’ve ever wanted was to be back on the field with my guys. I thank God for answering our prayers and sustaining my family through this long battle.

Watch Kennedy react to the ruling in the video below.

Kennedy had previously stated that he didn’t force any players to pray with him in the incident that started this back in September of 2015. Instead, he said that some players asked what he was doing, and those who were Christian decided to join him in prayer.

“It was never any kind of thing where it was a mandatory thing,” Kennedy told The New York Times in April. Watch Kennedy talk more about this five years ago in the video below.

Brett Kavanaugh Sounds Off
The school district claimed that it did not want to see students be pressured to pray, but conservative Justice Brett Kavanaugh wasn’t having any of this.

“It’s not audible to all players,” he said. “They’re not all there. They don’t have to be there. It’s not a team event. … You’re relying on it being visible, and then the question is, how far does that go? The coach does the sign of the cross right before the game. Could a school fire the coach for the sign of the cross?”

This is a huge victory for Christians everywhere, as prayer is never something that should be policed. We’re so glad to see that the Supreme Court made the right decision here!

But Red Skelton had his own show and he had Ed Sullivan on in this classic episode.

Even he had to laugh during the routine! Gosh, I miss that kind of television!

The Red Skelton Show
Red remains one of the best entertainers of all times. The Red Skelton Show was during the infancy of television.

His show first aired in 1951 on ABC. In 1954, the show moved to CBS. It was expanded to an hour and renamed The Red Skelton Hour in 1962.

The Red Skelton Hour remained on CBS until it was canceled in 1970 despite having high ratings.

The network made this poor decision in an attempt to attract younger viewers!

Red Skelton was a proud American. He wasn’t politically correct like today’s entertainers.

Red even predicted that the left would eventually attack the Pledge of Allegiance. He believed the pledge was an important Americans should not only recite or appreciate it.

Red always took time on his show to explain the Pledge and what it means.

“Pathway to Heaven” Captured in Photo of Fatal Car Crash

In 2017, there was a fatal car crash in Gainesville, Georgia. The accident took the lives of three people: Two young moms and one baby girl.

Naturally, the families were devastated. Another young woman, however, captured a photo of the wreck while on her way to work that day. In the picture, what looks like a “pathway to heaven” can be seen floating up from the crash. Her photo has made a huge impact on the bereaved family members of the victims. (1)

“Pathway To Heaven” Appears Over Fatal Car Crash
On April 25, 2017, 23-year-old Hannah Simmons was driving with her friend Lauren Buteau, 28. They were heading to Hannah’s nine-month-old daughter A’lannah’s routine check-up. For reasons unknown, Hannah lost control of the vehicle and they swerved into oncoming traffic. They then collided head-on with a truck coming in the opposite direction. While the truck driver was unharmed, the two moms and baby all died on-site. Tragically, Hannah was also a few months pregnant at the time with her and her fiance’s second baby.

19-year-old Anisa Gannon was on her way to work that morning when the car crash happened. She was stuck in the traffic that it caused, and so decided to quickly snap a picture of the wreck to send to her boss.

The Pathway to Heaven
Anisa didn’t want to get in trouble for being late to work. She didn’t notice anything special about the photo at first. She later showed it to her aunt, Tara Noble, who couldn’t believe what she was seeing. In the photo, there appeared to be this beam of light rising up from the wreck. The path went straight up to the sky – right up to heaven.

“She said, ‘Anisa, it looks like a pathway up to heaven,’ ” Anisa said.

Once Tara noticed it, she couldn’t get the idea out of her head that maybe, just maybe, a photo like this might be comforting to the victims’ families and friends. She got to work tracking down Hannah and Lauren’s families so that she could give them the photo.

A Beam of Light In A Dark Time
Tara says that she just wanted to give the families some peace. After all, they had just lost daughters, granddaughters, sisters, wives, mothers, partners, and friends. They lost a baby, who had her whole life ahead of her, as well as one that hadn’t even yet been born. Hannah’s fiance lost the love of his life and his children all in one go. Lauren’s two young children lost their mother. She knew that the photo wouldn’t make the pain go away, but it could at least bring them some comfort. She achieved just that.

“I just needed something to show me that they were in Heaven and that they were OK,” Judy Simmons, Hannah’s mom, said. “And that was my confirmation.”

Lauren’s mother Dana Buteau shared Judy’s sentiment.

“I can’t explain the feeling [that] came over me,” Dana said. “It was like watching them go to heaven.”

Comfort And Peace
Jodi Carter, Lauren’s aunt, says that the photo has helped her immensely. She explains that it gave her hope and has helped her get through this tragic time. Dana said the photo gave her indescribable peace.

“Nothing’s ever going to be the same, my heart’s broken and I miss them daily,” Judy said, who keeps the photo on top of her TV so she can see it every day. “If it wasn’t for the picture, I don’t know, it made it a whole lot better for me.”

Hannah’s family describes her as a very happy person who loved being a mom. She enjoyed playing patty cake and singing nursery rhymes with A’lannah. At nine months old the baby girl was already ripping around the house with the help of her baby walker. Lauren’s family describes her as a loving mother who was always “the life of the party”.

“If she walked into a room, everyone knew it, she always had a smile on her face and she would do anything for anybody.” described her mother.

Hannah’s fiance was completely devastated. One day, he was still learning how to be a new dad, preparing for a second baby, and planning his wedding with Hannah to planning his soon-to-be wife and his baby girl’s funerals. He says that the photo has helped him find some peace as he navigates a life that will now look very different from the one that he was envisioning.

“[the photo] is bringing me peace, I know they’re watching down on me. It’s helping a lot.” he said.

Anisa and Tara feel terribly for the grieving families. They are aware that the photo cannot take away the pain of losing their loved ones. The pair are glad, however, that it can at least bring the families a little bit of comfort, peace, and hope as they continue to grieve.

Enes Kanter Freedom Rebukes LeBron James: “You Are Free To Leave Buddy Or You Can Even Volunteer For An Exchange For Her”

Enes Kanter Freedom, a former center for the Boston Celtics, rebuked Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James after he posited Brittney Griner might reconsider returning to the United States after being imprisoned in Russia.

Griner recently plead guilty to drug charges earlier this month after she was detained in February entering Russia with .7 grams of cannabis oil. She told the court in English, “I’d like to plead guilty, your honor. But there was no intent. I didn’t want to break the law.”

She had previously petitioned President Joe Biden to obtain her release with part of her letter to him stating, “As I sit here in a Russian prison, alone with my thoughts and without the protection of my wife, family, friends, Olympic jersey, or any accomplishments, I’m terrified I might be here forever.”

“I realize you are dealing with so much, but please don’t forget about me and the other American Detainees,” Griner also wrote. “Please do all you can to bring us home.”

James reacted to Griner’s detention in a promotional trailer for an upcoming episode of HBO Max’s “The Shop” where he says, “Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?”

James would take to Twitter to try and clarify his comments after he received significant backlash writing, “My comments on ‘The Shop’ regarding Brittney Griner wasn’t knocking our beautiful country.”

James added, “I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days! Long story short #BringHerHome.”

Enes Kanter Freedom reacted to James’ comments sharing his thoughts to Twitter writing, “You call it a step back, we call this a walk back.”

He added, “You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her. Some people literally have NO idea what is it like to live in a dictatorship. Keep taking your freedom for granted.”

Kanter Freedom previously called for Griner’s release while talking to TMZ Sports.

He stated, “She’s been held hostage by one of the most brutal dictatorships in the world. And we need to do whatever we can to bring her here safe. And I’m so happy that all my NBA brother and WNBA sisters to bring awareness about what is going on. It’s just unacceptable. So we need to bring her here as soon as possible.”

When asked if the United States was doing enough to get her out, he replied, “They definitely need to do more. Because you are dealing with, like I said, one of the most brutal dictatorships in the world. I think players play a very important role in this because we need to bring more attention to it, to the cause. And we need her home safe.”

MSNBC Producer Quits, Says Her Channel Is A ‘Cancer’ That ‘Stokes National Division’

On Monday, a former MSNBC producer wrote an open letter explaining why she left the leftist cable outlet last week, slamming them as a “cancer” that is “stoking national division” by amplifying “fringe voices” and forcing “journalists to make bad decisions on a daily basis.”

The letter’s author, Ariana Pekary, described herself as an “integral member” of MSNBC’s “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.”

‘We are a cancer and there is no cure’

“July 24th was my last day at MSNBC,” Pekary wrote. “I don’t know what I’m going to do next exactly but I simply couldn’t stay there anymore.”

“My colleagues are very smart people with good intentions,” she said. “The problem is the job itself. It forces skilled journalists to make bad decisions on a daily basis.”

Pekary claimed that it was “practically baked in to the editorial process” at MSNBC that content decisions were almost exclusively what might get the most ratings and that privately “industry leaders will admit the damage that’s being done.”

She says a high profile TV veteran told her, “We are a cancer and there is no cure. But if you could find a cure, it would change the world.”

Pekary said a senior producer told her ‘Our viewers don’t really consider us the news. They come to us for comfort’

“As it is, this cancer stokes national division, even in the middle of a civil rights crisis,” Pekary said. “The model blocks diversity of thought and content because the networks have incentive to amplify fringe voices and events, at the expense of others… all because it pumps up the ratings.”

“Context and factual data are often considered too cumbersome for the audience,” Pekary added. “There may be some truth to that (our education system really should improve the critical thinking skills of Americans) – but another hard truth is that it is the job of journalists to teach and inform, which means they might need to figure out a better way to do that.”

“They could contemplate more creative methods for captivating an audience. Just about anything would improve the current process, which can be pretty rudimentary (think basing today’s content on whatever rated well yesterday, or look to see what’s trending online today),” she wrote.

Pekary said that she has heard her co-workers “deny their role as journalists,” and said that a “senior producer” told her, “Our viewers don’t really consider us the news. They come to us for comfort.”

Pekary says she craves a ‘full and civil discourse’

“Through this pandemic and the surreal, alienating lockdown, I’ve witnessed many people question their lives and what they’re doing with their time on this planet,” Pekary wrote. “I reckon I’m one of those people, looking for greater meaning and truth.”

“As much as I love my life in New York City and really don’t want to leave, I feel fortunate to be able to return to Virginia in the near term to reconnect with family, friends, and a community of independent journalists,” she said. “I’m both nervous and excited about this change. Thanks to COVID-19, I’m learning to live with uncertainty.”

“More than ever, I’m craving a full and civil discourse,” Pekary concluded.

Elderly Man Kicked Out Of Bank Of America, Then Cop Takes Action

A 92-year-old man went to his local Bank of America to make a withdrawal, but when the tellers saw his ID was expired, they told him they couldn’t help him. He got upset, and eventually, bank managers called the police to remove him from the premises. When the officer showed up, though, not a single person could believe what he did to the old man.

A police officer from California has warmed the hearts of people all across the country after what he did for an elderly man who had been kicked out of a local Bank of America.

Officer Robert Josett received a call from the bank about a 92-year-old man who was reportedly causing a scene. The elderly man was agitated after trying to withdraw money from his account. He had encountered trouble doing so because his ID was expired.

Without proper identification, the bank was unable to process the old man’s request to withdraw his money. However, he didn’t understand why the teller was refusing to help him. As a result, the elderly man grew upset and caused a commotion.

When Officer Josett arrived on the scene and learned what was happening, he decided to do something a bit unconventional. The cop decided he wouldn’t simply escort the old man out of the bank. Instead, he helped him in a way that has since gone viral.

Instead of asking the old man to leave the premises, Officer Josett took matters into his own hands. He drove the man to the DMV to get a new ID, but his act of kindness didn’t stop there. The officer then took the old man back to the Bank of America location so that he could withdraw his money as originally intended.

Afterward, the Montebello Police Department posted a photo of Josett and the elderly man on Facebook, capturing the attention of thousands.

“This Officer is a Saint!” commented one person on the police department’s Facebook post. “All this Little Grampa wants is to keep his independence. And the officer helped him in a dignified manner. Good Job Officer!”

“Heart touching and I love that the officer was able to get him in and out of the DMV so quickly!” joked another. “That alone is medal worthy!”

“This is beautiful,” wrote someone else. “We need more stories like this to show the people that not all police officers are bad and that they go above and behind their regular duties to help everyone.”

“We often hear only bad news of officers, we can’t judge everyone the same,” agreed another. “Officer Robert Josett thank you so much for helping this elderly man, it could have been my father or grandfather. God Bless you….and thank you for your service.”

Anyone with an elderly parent or grandparent can likely relate to the situation this old man found himself in. At 92-years-old, you’re simply not as sharp as you used to be, so something like an expired ID can really throw you off, especially when it’s preventing you from accessing your own money.

This old man only needed to be shown some kindness and a bit of patience. Officer Josett showed him both and turned out to be his guardian angel. The people of Montebello, California, are certainly lucky to have such a compassionate officer protecting them.
